Gisele Bündchen
She is a model, philanthropist, and the New York Times bestselling author of Nutrition. Its 2018 title is Lessons: The Path to a Meaningful Life. In 2023, she partnered with Gaia Herbs, an herbal supplement brand specializing in regenerative and organic farming, as their health ambassador to spread awareness about herbal remedies and how they support everyday health. Outside of his professional career, he created the Agua Limpa Project, leading water purification efforts in his hometown of Horizontina, Brazil. She was recently appointed to the board of Lotus House, a women’s and children’s shelter in Miami, USA. Bündchen also collaborated with the Brazil Foundation and created the Luz Alliance Foundation, which provided funds to help vulnerable Brazilian families during the pandemic. Today, the foundation supports projects aimed at restoring Brazil’s fragile ecosystems.
Heela Yang
She is the co-founder of Sol de Janeiro, a body care and fragrance brand. Under Young’s leadership, the brand’s portfolio has grown to more than 30 products, many of which have gone viral on social media, and global retail sales are projected to reach $1 billion by 2023. In 2021, L’Occitane acquired a majority stake in the business. Before founding Sol de Janeiro, Jan worked for brands such as Lancôme and Clinique. Yang received a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and a master’s from Yale University.
Linda Gieskes-Mwamba
She is the founder and CEO of Suki Suki Naturals, a textured hair care brand. In recent years, Gisques-Mwamba practised law and held positions with Biccari Bollo Mariano, Cabemery and Rudolph, Bernstein & Associates in Johannesburg, South Africa. Gieskes-Mwamba holds a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from the University of the Witwatersrand.
Danessa Myricks
She is a makeup artist, photographer and founder of the cosmetics brand Danessa Myricks Beauty, which she launched in 2015. Myricks, who is self-taught, uses her platform to teach others the makeup techniques she has learned throughout her career. Through her eponymous brand, Myricks hopes to make the beauty industry more inclusive for historically underserved and underrepresented groups. Dubbed the “Willy Wonka of beauty,” Mirix is known for his designs and innovations. Mirix remains true to his creativity and puts the values of community building at the forefront of his label.
Dr. Nigma Talib
She is a naturopathic doctor specializing in gut and skin conditions. He founded Healthydoc Clinics, located in Beverly Hills, California. He is also the founder of the nutritional supplement label Dr Nigma, which counts Erewhon, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Goop as retailers. Talib is the author of Reverse the Signs of Aging/Youthful Skin, Starting in the Gut, published in 2015. Talib previously served on the review and quality assurance committees of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia. He currently serves on the board of the California Association of Naturopathic Physicians, actively contributing to legislative efforts to modernize the scope of practice of naturopathic physicians in California.
Yoon Sung Choi
She is the marketing director of the skincare label Laneige. Sung Choi leads Laneige’s global marketing initiatives in this role and drives the brand’s expansion. Sung Choi previously held positions at Benefit Cosmetics and MAC Cosmetics, where he developed brand and product marketing strategies in Eastern and Western markets.
Angelica Munson
She is the Global Chief Digital Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Shiseido Company, Limited. Munson leads the Digital Transformation team, integrating digital strategies and services, including data analytics, digital marketing, media, e-commerce, artificial intelligence and digital education to drive the company’s growth and innovation. Munson has over 20 years of experience in roles at Estée Lauder, Clinique and Fast Retailing, where he launched and scaled several direct-to-consumer businesses.
Laureen Kouassi-Olsson
She is the founder and CEO of Birimian Holding and Birimian Ventures, which are financial institutions dedicated to the sustainable development of African heritage brands. Under Kouassi-Olsson’s leadership, Birimian established partnerships with institutions such as the French Fashion Institute, Orange Bank Africa, the International Finance Corporation, a subsidiary of the World Bank, and a network of prominent private investors. Since its founding, the company has accelerated and funded 45 fashion businesses and entrepreneurs. Kouassi-Olsson is recognized as one of the 100 most influential African economic leaders and a member of the BoF 500. He is also the author of the book Iconic Africa, released in September 2023, which advocates for transforming African creativity into an economic power. He holds degrees from Harvard Business School and EM Lyon Business School.
Alexander Gilkes
He is the co-founder of Squared Circles, a venture studio backed by LVMH’s L. Catterton and David Bonderman that creates health and wellness products and food and beverage products. Squared Circles has launched Magic Molecule, a skin healing product, and Algae Cooking Club, an algae oil with chef Daniel Humm. And Freaks of Nature, a skin microbiome company for outdoor athletes with surfer Kelly Slater. Over the next three years, they will launch five more companies on topics ranging from fertility to Gen Alpha, functional Nutrition and GLP1 nutrition. Gilkes is also the founder of Paddle8, an online auction house specializing in art, photography and printmaking that will close in 2020. During its heyday, Paddle8 worked with curators and collectors Madonna, Damien Hirst, Madonna, Virgil Abloh and Elton John to broaden the appeal of fine art.
Dr. Joyce Gikunda
She is a pharmacist, beautician, and founder of Linton’s Beauty World, a cosmetics group with a chain of East African stores specializing in beauty treatments. Before becoming a standalone business, Linton’s Beauty World served as a service-oriented offshoot of Lynton Pharmacy, a retail chain specializing in cosmetics owned by Gikunda and her husband Edward. Through Lynton Pharmacy, Gikunda partners with brands such as Fashion Fair, Black Opal and Clinique for exclusive distribution in Kenya. Gikunda is also the founder of the Kenya Cosmetology Society and the Linton Academy, an accredited institution that trains the next generation in the beauty industry.
Renaud Salmon
He is the chief creative officer of Amouage, a luxury fragrance house based in Muscat, Oman. In this role, Salmon is responsible for designing and implementing consumer touchpoints, including product development. Before joining Amouage, Salmon worked in the luxury leather department at Delvaux and Louis Vuitton. He previously served as Vice President of Marc Jacobs Fragrances. He received a master’s degree from the University of Liege.
